What started as an opportunity to help local families prepare for the school year has grown into something even bigger.
T2N Foundation proudly hosted its second annual back-to-school drive, once again at West Lawn United Methodist Church, in partnership with Senator Schwank. This year's event brought together families, volunteers, and community partners for a day centered around giving back and making sure local children had the resources they needed heading into a new school year.
With the support of Lords and Ladies Exeter, Cyn Styles, Whiskers Barber, Blankets for Hope, and Senator Schwank, families were able to receive free haircuts, hairstyling services, backpacks, school supplies, and hygiene products. From pencils and crayons to fresh backpacks and haircuts, the goal was simple: help children feel confident, prepared, and excited for the year ahead.
And this year, the impact was even greater.
With nearly double the turnout compared to our first year, the event was bigger in just about every way. The lines were longer, more families came through, and there were even more smiling faces throughout the day. Seeing so many children leave with supplies, fresh hairstyles, and smiles reminded us exactly why events like this matter.
What makes this event so special is that it goes beyond handing out backpacks and school supplies. It's about bringing people together, supporting families, and creating opportunities for children in our own community. It's about showing them that people care, that they have support behind them, and that a little help can go a long way.
We are incredibly grateful to every organization, volunteer, and individual who helped make this year's event possible. It takes a community to create something like this, and the continued support from our partners is what allows us to reach more families each year.
Year one was just the beginning. Year two showed us what is possible when a community comes together with a shared purpose.
We look forward to continuing to grow this event and finding even more ways to make a difference. Because at T2N Foundation, giving back isn't just something we do once a year. It's part of what we stand for.
